Single handle shower faucet american standard?

The single handle faucet will not stay on. There is a set screw that is supposed to hold it on there but it never catches. There is a plastic bushing inside the handle, but the lip on it is cracked. It doesn’t seem to be affecting the set screw area. Now I had the handle securly attached, however the range of motion was limited and it would take up to 15 seconds of me holding the diverter for enough pressure to build up so the shower would kick on. Anyt thoughts on whether or not i can buy a replacement piece or set that is counter sunk or what not? My goal after all this rambling is to have regular water pressure and a handle that stays on.

    Thanks

I installed a new stainless steel one-hole sink along with a new Kohler faucet. We have no plumbing problems, however the sink seems unstable when using any force on the handle. Are there any installation tips regarding the durability of the sink.
It is a 1-hole 2-basin sink. The weakness seems to reside in the raised area behind the two basins where the faucet is placed. It appears only for aesthetic reasons and runs two thirds across horizontally which seems to lose support for the faucet.

I'm remodeling my kitchen. Very traditional look. Cannot decide on which faucet look would work. Help!!

Will the one hole, uncluttered look work, colors, granite, back splash are very bold w/lots of "personality". Or should I use the "bridge" faucet w/curved faucet that I bought already. I like the traditional look, nothing modern and it must be brushed n ickel.
